A plain description of what the product actually does with data today.
This page describes how the product actually behaves today. It is not a lawyer-drafted document and must be reviewed and completed by qualified counsel before ApplyWebsite operates publicly.
Searching, comparing, AI matching and every content page work with no account and no sign-in. An account exists only so saved programs and searches can follow you between devices.
Saved programs, saved searches and the comparison shortlist are stored in your browser's local storage. They are not transmitted to us, they are not shared between your devices, and clearing your browser data removes them.
Outbound apply links pass through our own redirect so we can measure how much traffic each institution receives. That record holds:
It deliberately does not hold an IP address, a tracking cookie or an account identifier. The university receives our origin but never your search terms, because the referrer policy strips the path and query.
The account holds an email address, and optionally a name, nationality and preferred language. Nationality is used to work out tuition liability and visa route, not to segment or target you.
A lawyer-drafted policy naming the data controller and its legal entity, the lawful basis for each purpose, retention periods, the list of processors and sub-processors, international transfer mechanisms, the procedure for exercising access, correction, deletion and portability rights, and the supervisory authority for complaints. None of that is on this page, and the product should not operate publicly until it is.
